The famous American Architecture lived in Chicago for a time and contributed to Chicago by building many unique buildings here. There is a really famous one, Robie House, right here in Hyde Park on the University of Chicago's campus.

The University of Chicago

Speaking of Architecture... the U of C has some really fun buildings. It's a really cool place to visit because of all the old, unique buildings. It also is a well-known University and just happens to be were I work.

The Chicago Temple

Chicago also has a beautiful temple. However, since Chicago land is huge it's takes us about an hour and a half to get there - but it's always worth the trip.

Playing Tourist

Chicago brings in a lot of tourists during the summer (understandably they don't come in the winter). Here are a couple of the biggest reasons why:

The Taste of Chicago

Chicago is well-known for it's food. There are a lot of good restaurants, in fact Chicago was the host for this seasons "Next Top Chef." The Taste of Chicago is usually the week of the 4th of July and brings all those great foods to one spot. Yummm!

You'll think you've died and gone to heaven with every bite! They definitely do not exaggerate about their pizza.

The Sears Tower

Of course you have to visit the Sears Tower. One of the tallest buildings in the world! It has some great views, an informative movie trailer, and fun tidbits about Chicago all over the place.

The Parks are a major part of the city. They are used to host major events, to emphasize certain artwork and also to just relax in.

Is it Art?

Chicago is an interesting place in a lot of ways, one of them being the statues and artwork in the many parks. We've only captured a few, but there are many, many pieces and some we're not so sure if it can in fact be considered Art. You decide for yourself.

We went to 'Wicked' and loved it. Ryan even bought the soundtrack.
