The Architectural cruise was amazing! Being on the river gave us such a great view of the city and we learned a lot about the building up of Chicago.
There are many different types of buildings here in Chicago. Some are simple box shapes, while others are circular
Some of the buildings are a city in themselves. Many have their own carport, docks, grocery stores, restaurants and dry cleaners.
Land is a very valuable commodity here, but so is the air. Many building have been built above the trains. The builders would buy the air above the city and then build pillars to start building.
Chicago not only has the highest sales tax at 10.5%, but it also has the most workable bridges. There are over 30 bridges that still raise and lower around Chicago.
